Positive Energy Homes

Il futuro delle Positive Energy Homes: il contributo del progetto RENplusHOMES

(in lingua inglese)

REN+HOMES develops different solutions (hardware hardware, software and Circular Plus Energy Homes methodologies), testing them in large scale demonstrators and developing business models combining cost effective deep retrofitting, demand response and energy communities.

REN+HOMES provides excess energy to the grid or to neighboring buildings, develops and install building technologies from >50% recycled materials, uses products with >60% recyclability rates, adopts co design for increasing awareness and satisfaction and makes use of international support to overcome legislative barrier, for the streamlining of positive energy homes, with a focus on resource scarcity and recyclability.

Nearly zero-energy building (nZEB)

- very high energy performance,
- very low amount of energy required
- covered by energy from renewable sources

Positive Energy Building (PEB)

- very high energy performance,
- Energy production > energy consumption
- Energy from renewable sources

Project drivers

1. Lack of awareness of available highly innovative methods, technologies and tools that can support exemplary levels of energy efficiency and facilitate the deployment of energy positive homes

2. Lack of solutions (HW and SW) that can support industrialization of building construction, optimize workflows and improve the integration and interaction of different construction phases

3. Underperformance of construction sector to be improved by integrated procedures

4. Need for building construction and renovation to become more attractive and affordable to all, powered 100% by renewables
