Extracting shale gas with supercritical CO2

(in lingua inglese)

The paper will illustrate the current situation of shale gas and the potential use of supercritical CO2 for the extraction of shale gas with related pros and cons. Shale gas is the reason why we currently have, and probably we will have, low energy prices. This point is confirmed just considering the situation in Middle East; in the past just a little local conflict would have caused a huge oil price increase. Now Middle East and North Africa are littered with wars but the oil barrel is still low.
