Olfaction and hearing based mobile robot navigation for odor/sound source search

This paper fuses smell, touch and hearing to design a multi-robot system. The multi-robot system, which integrates the techniques of gas sensor, airflow sensor, contact pickup, magnetoresistive sensor,microphone array, DSP and RF transceiver successfully employed for plume tracking, sound localization and sound source search. Furthermore, robots in this system can communicate with each other and sink node via a WSN.
