The studies and analysis show that the method using electric fields to determine the droplet size enabled the size to be measured of the splattered droplets that form when raindrops hit the ground. By placing a measuring electrode within a suitable range it is possible to determine the range of raindrop dispersal. It is crucial to build a correct and multivariate model of Septoria epidemic development, especially for cereal infections. By determining the relationship between the size of the droplet and its electrical charge it is also possible to determine the minimum droplet size necessary to transfer infective spores.
